Guria is one of the poorest mountainous regions in Western Georgia, with one of the lowest GDPs per capita in Georgia. Guria is famous for tea plantations (developed in the Soviet era), and an outstanding sense of humor of the locals!

75 high school students (the city of Ozurgeti and the villages of Shroma, Kveda Bakhvi, Likhauri, Nasakirali, Tskhemliskhidi, Narudji, Ereketi, Buknari, Dablatsike, Sachamiaseri, Kvenobani, Kokhnari, Chaisubani) who have been deemed socially vulnerable by Social Services have been selected as our beneficiaries with the help of their local school districts.

They are now equipped with laptops, Internet access, and online courses. Our partner Airnet, a local Wifi operator, covered the end-user device installation costs while our online donors sponsor the monthly Internet fees.

After we distributed the laptops, our team organized fun, interactive training sessions for our beneficiaries from the Ozurgeti district on Media Literacy, Online Education and Financial Education. Through experiments, discussions and Q&A sessions, our beneficiaries learned how to tell apart fake news, save money, learn online and more.

How is the money spent

We are fully transparent. Every penny we spend is detailed in our transparency reports. Take a peek at our cost breakdown.
