Student Education

How we support our students

After students receive laptops, routers and monthly internet sponsorship from us, they are fully able to participate in our partners’ programs in coding, design, healthcare and other fields. We partner with two types of educational organizations: one, like MIT Emerging Talent & Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, that offer online educational programs for underserved and conflict-affected students; and the other, like the University of Geneva, that provides in-person training in refugee camps.

We also add students to our internal educational community. In this space we regularly organize online trainings, share learning resources and offer personalized support for each student when they need help or advice with their education and employment. In collaboration with the Internet Society, we deliver technical training for our beneficiaries and other members of refugee communities, with a focus on computer network design and system administration. In 2025, we engaged 110 students across three cohorts: two cohorts of Designing and Deploying Computer Networks and one cohort of Introduction to Network Operations. We continue these training sessions in 2026 as well!

The educational support we provide varies by country, but across all locations, we work with local and international partners to equip students with the guidance they need to make the most of the Internet.
