Achievement Stories

Some of our students have already changed the course of their lives thanks to the Internet, be it new passions, professions, or academic degrees. We add new stories monthly so check in for more stories on the magic of the Internet!

Ramazani lives in the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, where resourcefulness is key for survival. Despite limited internet access at his training center, he became a full-stack developer and co-founded Opengates.app, a free platform that connects fellow refugees with job opportunities, scholarships, and grants.

To study or work, Ramazani walked long distances to the center, where overcrowding often made it difficult to find a computer. Still, he persevered, using every opportunity to build his skills and build a platform to support others in similar circumstances.
