Communications Manager, Copywriter - Job opportunity (Remote)
 

Who are we?
 

Our team manages two tech nonprofits. GiveInternet.org is registered in the United States. The platform allows anyone to sponsor Internet fees and laptops for students in need living in developing countries like Uganda, Bangladesh and Georgia. Charte.ge is its Georgian version, operating since 2017 and bringing up to 1800 underprivileged high school students online. 

Our projects were created by Educare Georgia, a foundation that aims to provide free access to world-class education to anyone in Georgia. Our projects include:

  • Khan Academy Georgia

  • Code.org in Georgian

  • Charte.ge - a nonprofit platform where anyone in Georgia can sponsor Internet fees and laptops for high school students in need

  • GiveInternet.org - an international nonprofit platform where anyone can sponsor Internet fees and laptops for students in need from developing countries

  • ForUkraine.ge - a fundraising initiative for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

     

What is our ideal future colleague like?

What will you be doing?
 

  • Taking part in developing and executing a go-to-market strategy for GiveInternet.org

  • Developing a communication strategy for GiveInternet.org and Charte.ge, leading growth efforts, planning and executing communication campaigns and social media posts (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and spreading the word through other channels to attract donors and followers

  • Copywriting for social media, the website and other channels

  • Preparing monthly donor updates with Mailchimp and communicating with the donors online

  • Managing online ads

  • Basic Search Engine Optimization

  • Basic analytics with Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.

  • Applying to and participating in international programs and accelerators.

  • Researching the US online giving market, researching forums, platforms, media, influencers, etc.

Your selection process has three stages: 1) the application 2) an interview 3) an assignment and a presentation

There will be a 30-day trial period (compensated)

Salary range: GEL700-2000 NET (the exact salary depends on the applicant's level of expertise)
