Content Strategist & Creator - Job Opportunity (Remote/Hybrid)

About us
GiveInternet.org is a US-based nonprofit platform where anyone can sponsor Internet fees and laptops for underserved students in developing countries. The project was built by the team behind Charte.ge, a Georgian version of the platform. To date, up to a hundred students have been brought online in Africa and Asia thanks to support from international donors. 

The position
We are just starting out, gradually building our brand, growth channels, user segments, voice and tone. We need someone who can help tell our story to the world, publish and help create our content. The successful candidate should be able to follow and analyze social media in the US and European philanthropy market. 

Their goal would be to help our organization position itself and attract donors. Most of their work will deal with discovery, validation, experimenting, and learning. 

Who are we looking for?
 
  • They live and breathe social media. 
They’re interested in different channels like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn. They spend a decent amount of time on these platforms to observe trends, and they believe in their potential. 
  • They are analytical and data-informed.
The successful candidate will be able to observe the market, analytics, and other data, and make informed, data driven decisions. 
  • They write well in English.
They can be conversational, concise, compelling, and elegant in their writing, and they can prompt people to action or catch their attention. 
  • They love creating and planning social media content.
They feel comfortable laying out a communication strategy. They love to brainstorm ideas for content and campaigns, and they can work with designers and videographers on the execution. They can create basic visual and video content themselves. They can follow and improve our voice and tone. 
  • They have a growth mindset.
They are no strangers to continuous learning, educational literature, and online courses. They are excited to make the most out of this position, try various approaches and learn by doing.
  • They want to make a difference in the lives of underserved students.
The successful candidate will play a key role in our mission. As part of a small team, they will be able to see their own contribution to our impact on our students and their communities. 

What would the ideal candidate be like?
  • They have experience managing or building social media channels;
  • They have experience creating content and writing copy;
  • They have attracted followers to social media channels or platforms;
  • They stand out with their sense of responsibility towards their work. 

What don’t we need?
  • Knowledge of the market;
The US and European philanthropy market is massive. We have yet to discover our users, communities, and niche markets.
  • Knowledge of computer programs to create visual content
 Your task will be to develop the concept and strategy and work with our editors and photographers to create the material.
  • Impeccable English;
There are tools available that can help you eliminate grammar and syntax errors.

Location: Remote or hybrid (you can drop in a couple of days a week at our office in Tbilisi)
Type: Full-time or Part-time
