MIT Emerging Talent has already offered its Certificate in Computer and Data Science to over 600 learners. The program harnesses MIT’s courses, tools, global networks, and entrepreneurial spirit to create transformative opportunities for talented refugee students.

Providing refugees with laptops to access digital jobs
Malawi
In Malawi’s Dzaleka Refugee Camp, strict policies prevent refugees from formal employment. To help them access the global digital economy, we partner with JRS and Konexio. While they train students in skills like graphic design and web development, we provide the essential laptops and internet. This allows them to work as remote freelancers, connect with international clients, and earn an independent income from within the camp.
