MIT Emerging Talent offers its Certificate in Computer and Data Science to hundreds of learners worldwide. From bringing a computer to a small town in Afghanistan to providing internet connectivity in Colombia to reaching conflict-impacted learners in Sudan, we have done it all.

Providing refugees with laptops to access digital jobs
Malawi
In Malawi’s Dzaleka Refugee Camp, strict policies prevent refugees from formal employment. To help them access the global digital economy, we partner with JRS and Konexio. While they train students in skills like graphic design and web development, we provide the essential laptops and internet. This allows them to work as remote freelancers, connect with international clients, and earn an independent income from within the camp.
