Math and English are subjects Nino enjoys the most at school. She plans to enroll in a university but hasn’t yet made up her mind regarding the discipline she’s going to choose. Whenever she has free time, she either watches movies, reads books, or has fun with her friends.

May Mon dreams of becoming a Business Analyst, but the 2021 coup in Myanmar and the pandemic interrupted her university plans. Refusing to give up on her education, she turned to online learning and earned a spot in the life-changing MIT Emerging Talent program. She is deeply motivated to help other youths in her rural community who face similar barriers to education. With her new laptop, May Mon can now code and access the resources she needs to succeed and share opportunities with the next generation.

Maria is passionate about Programming and Data Science, seeing technology as a way to solve real problems. Growing up in Venezuela during difficult economic times, she taught herself English to open new doors. Now, she has been accepted into the MIT Emerging Talent and Paper Airplanes programs. Motivated by her supportive family, she hopes to use her skills to help rebuild her country. With her new laptop, Maria can complete her engineering studies, master coding, and launch her career in technology.

Viktoriya, a 34-year-old from Ukraine, is turning her lifelong love for mathematics into a career in Data Science. She balances her technical studies with creative passions like crafting traditional Pysanky and teaching children at her church. She has already built a financial analysis system using spreadsheets and is eager to advance to more complex tools. With her new laptop, Viktoriya can finally install Python and machine learning libraries, allowing her to work on large datasets and achieve her goal of becoming a professional Data Analyst.

Safa dreams of becoming a machine learning engineer who solves real-world problems. She has already demonstrated her technical skills by building a complex DJ app using C++. Her current focus is on securing an internship at a leading tech company to further her growth. With her new laptop, Safa was able to install essential coding tools and is now working on the projects she needs to launch her career.

Amro is a lifelong learner aspiring to become a data engineer. He is driven by a desire to contribute to science and make knowledge accessible to others. He is particularly proud of his work on a group project for MIT's foundation track, which solidified his passion for innovation. With his new laptop, Amro can continue gaining the technical skills he needs to leave a lasting impact on the world of technology.

Hanamariam is passionate about Bioinformatics and data science. Previously, she faced a difficult challenge trying to learn Python programming using only a mobile phone. Now, she is advancing her skills by taking an MIT course in data science. With her new laptop, Hanamariam can finally code efficiently and fully explore the possibilities of her field.

Shahed came to Lebanon from Syria to escape the war, which caused her to miss two years of school. Now, she is back in class and passionate about robotics, proudly building projects like her own weather station using Arduino. She plans to become an electrical engineer in the future. With her new laptop, Shahed can finally practice coding and continue her learning outside of her limited school hours.

Stella is the firstborn in a family of seven, having only completed two years of college due to financial constraints. "I stumbled into coding while I was surfing the internet in a public cyber café, I was curious and I felt there is more I could do with computer, I was excited when I did a bit of coding and the result was amazing, I saw I could create appealing visuals using software, I did not have a laptop, but I used my phone to create digital and appealing visuals with Canva, Pixellab, figma etc. I have already gotten a scholarship from She Code Foundation (6 months Front End Development) course and Meta Front End Development on Coursera. I have already started studying with my phone." - she tells us.
