December 2024 - Monthly Update

Hi there,

Happy New Year and thank you for your interest in our mission! We hope to see you among our supporters this year.

In 2024, we achieved a real milestone — together with our supporters, we connected 398 students with the laptops and internet access, giving them the tools they need to learn, explore opportunities, and pursue their dreams.

We are also proud to have established new partnerships with organizations  in Kenya, India, South Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, Lebanon, Malawi. There are still more students waiting for their chance to thrive. If you’d like to help us reach even more students this year, consider becoming a monthly donor.

Here’s the impact we’ve created as a community:

Say hello to our students from  Georgia, comming from villages in the conflict-affected region of Gori. 43 of them joined our project in last December. Alongside them, we’re sharing photos of students we met during our October visit to Kenya. These students, currently residing in Kakuma Refugee camp,  have successfully completed Community Health program in InZone Learning Hub, provided by our partner University of Geneva.

Meet Fauzia - a young mother and tech enthusiast who turned her challenges into opportunities for change. She developed an app to provide pregnant women with easy access to medical assistance.

"I aspire to be part of Women in Tech Safaricom and also start my organization that will help youth in my area. I need to leave a legacy and be a role model for youth." - says Fauzia

She is a shining example of why supporting young minds like hers is so important. By donating monthly at GiveInternet.org, you can empower students to make a difference in their communities.

On our social media, we share a variety of content!

Check out our latest videos:

  • The first features Benjamin Keep, a cognitive scientist and our volunteer ambassador, explaining why he supports GiveInternet.org. He highlights the importance of tackling internet inequality and empowering students, including those in refugee camps.
  • The second presented by Cyber Queen, explores the digital gap, noting that 67% of the 1.1 billion students without internet access are girls. She emphasizes how internet access enables women to pursue education, careers, and accessing health, creating benefits for society as a whole.
