However, limited access to a laptop and internet has made it difficult for him to fully dive into his coursework or seize remote work opportunities. With a laptop, Khalid could collaborate with peers, contribute to open-source projects, and build a professional portfolio.

However, his journey wasn’t easy—he lacked mentors and struggled to find the right resources to grow. Things changed when he joined Zone01 Kisumu, a training program that gave him hands-on skills and a supportive tech community. Without a laptop and internet, it was hard for him to practice coding and explore his tech stack.

A laptop and internet access would help her stay updated, complete her coursework more efficiently, and explore new tools to grow her knowledge and creativity—especially in design and research.
