Solidarity Initiative for Refugees (SIR) is a refugee-led organization dedicated to advancing the socio-economic integration and self-reliance of refugees and host communities. Through a holistic approach that combines tech training, entrepreneurship support, education, advocacy, and emergency response, SIR helps vulnerable individuals build sustainable livelihoods and become active leaders within their communities.

At the heart of SIR's work is the belief that refugees should not only have access to essential services, but also the opportunity to learn, earn, and lead with dignity. The organization equips young people and women with professional skills, supports entrepreneurs through financial literacy and business development programs, strengthens refugee-led organizations through capacity building, and promotes inclusive education for children and families.

Our partnership with SIR focuses on supporting all-women cohorts participating in coding and livelihoods programs. Many of these women face significant barriers to accessing technology. By providing laptops and internet scholarships, GiveInternet.org helps remove those barriers, empowering women to gain in-demand skills, achieve financial independence, and become leaders in their communities.
