Programs & Partners
We are serving our students through our local partners. You can choose to sponsor a specific project or donate to the general fund and leave it up to us to distribute the funds based on what our local teams need.
Preparing refugees for careers without borders
Since refugees often do not have the legal right to work, many are forced into informal employment under precarious conditions. Yet employment is one of the most effective ways to self-reliance, enabling refugees to support their families, improve their quality of life, and contribute to their host communities. Na’amal, one of our partners in Kenya, is working to make this possible.
Since 2020, Na’amal has been preparing refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp for the global workforce by providing training in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and other essential professional skills. The organization also collaborates with partners that provide advanced digital skills training, helping learners build the technical competencies needed to compete in the remote job market.
Na’amal believes that remote work can help overcome many of the barriers refugees face and create new entry points to employment regardless of location. For this, access to a personal device and reliable internet is crucial. That’s where we come in - sponsoring tools that make it possible to work from home and collaborate with clients and teams across different time zones.
